WHO Nigeria update - 11 Dec 2016

The World Health Organisation’s (WHO) top priority is to significantly reduce rates of death & disease in north-eastern Nigeria.  WHO is supporting the response to the humanitarian crisis in north-eastern Nigeria where 3.7 million people are in urgent need of health services. Since scaling up its emergency response in August 2016, WHO has set up 160 disease detection sites, sent medicines and supplies to detect and treat malaria and cholera and vaccinated 1.9 million children against polio.  Read more…
